IWS Release Notes - August 2014

From BriteWiki
Jump to: navigation, search

We strive to keep our products above the industry standard so that your systems remain current and flexible. For that reason, we make continuous improvements to BriteCore's code base. We've been experimenting with a continuous release process, and we'll be shifting to this to better reflect our daily improvements. Rather than waiting for the all-clear of many items to go out in one weekly release, you'll receive continuous updates for code changes going out in the daily release. Items that require full release notes for this month can be found in this section of the BriteWiki.

Underwriting Approval Added to BriteQuote

New fields have been added that allow Agents to input information regarding their communication with your Underwriting department during the quoting process. These new fields are controlled by a new setting in Settings > Modules > BriteQuote > Options > Show the “Underwriting Contact” section, underneath Underwriting Questions.

With this new setting enabled, three new fields will appear below the Underwriting Questions allowing the Agent to capture information relating to their interaction with your Underwriting department.

If ‘Yes’ is chosen, then a valid Contact Date and valid Underwriter must be added before the Application can be submitted. The Approved By field will only accept valid Underwriters. In order to denote valid Underwriters, IWS has added a new role for Contacts, aptly named Underwriter.

Clients will need to add this role to applicable contacts before those contacts can be selected in the ‘Approved By’ field by agents. The information provided in these new fields will be added to the Policy Application:

New Report Status Page

IWS has added a new Report Status link in Reports > Report List. Users will now be able to see all reports that are currently running in the background. This new page automatically updates every 10 seconds, so as reports finish, they will automatically be dropped from the list of running reports and be available in Reports > Attachments. No changes have been made to how reports are run through the interface. This page simply provides a way for users to check on the status of a running report.

Enhancements to the Secure Checkout Page

Setting to Disallow Payments Based on Amount

BriteCore gives clients the ability to disallow payments based on the amount when making electronic payments from the Secure Checkout page Settings > Modules > Policies > Policy Life Cycle > Payment > Options.

This setting will enforce the minimum (currently due amount) and the maximum (payoff amount) of a given policy and disallow payments that fall outside of this range. When this setting is ON and payments outside this range are attempted, the user will receive a warning regarding the amount of the payment.

NOTE: This setting will need to be enabled for each policy type if the Life Cycle parameters are not globally defined for all business.

Secure Checkout Updates

The secure checkout page has had several changes and updates made to it. Starting 8/27/2014 clients will see the following updates to Secure Checkout:

1. A new information icon has been added next to the policy number. When clicked, the user will see a popup, similar to below, that gives additional information to the user.

The new page allows for branding of individual clients with the standardized BriteCore header and reduces the amount of information users must provide before gaining access to the Secure Checkout page. This page will enforce valid Risk Zip Codes against the provided policy number. If an invalid Zip Code is provided, the user will not be allowed to access the Secure Checkout page.

Redundant Search Functionality

IWS has developed a redundant search functionality for all BriteCore sites that mimics the Elastic Search functionality that is standard for all searching in BriteCore. This redundancy, called Fallback Mode, gives users to ability to search for items in BriteCore if the Elastic Search functionality is interrupted or undergoing maintenance.

Users will know that Fallback Mode is enabled because the below message will appear on the screen.

If Elastic Search functionality is interrupted, Fallback Mode will immediately be available for all sites. The Elastic Search functionality will also be automatically restored when the interrupt or maintenance is resolved.

New Transaction Type for Claims

This enhancement is designed for those clients who report data to ISO APlus. If ISO APlus is turned on as a vendor in Settings > Vendors, there will be a new option in Claims > Individual Claim > Information titled ISO APlus Transaction Type. This new option will be defaulted to Individual for all claims and can be updated to Business where appropriate. The type that is selected on the interface will be reported to ISO APlus.
