IWS Release Notes - December 2014
We strive to keep our products above the industry standard so that your systems remain current and flexible. For that reason, we make continuous improvements to BriteCore's code base. We've been experimenting with a continuous release process, and we'll be shifting to this to better reflect our daily improvements. Rather than waiting for the all-clear of many items to go out in one weekly release, you'll receive continuous updates for code changes going out in the daily release. Items that require full release notes for this month can be found in this section of the BriteWiki.

Loss Payee Improvements
Funded by Bremen, Halifax, Panhandle
The existing Loss Payee functionality allows carriers to assign Loss Payees to individual line items or to scheduled items in the builder. Currently, there is some ambiguity in the builder and on the Declarations page surrounding the association of Loss Payees with items.
This release will provide several improvements to the existing Loss Payee functionality, including:
- Adding detailed Loss Payee information to the Declaration, Application, and Quote Summary for schedules and individual line items. Example 1 Example 2
- Adding the address of Loss Payees to the drop down selection in builder. Example
- Adding a numbering system to all scheduled items. Example
In regard to the new numbering system for scheduled items, the numbers automatically update when items are deleted. For example, if there are 3 items in a schedule and #2 is removed, then #3 becomes the new #2.
Agency Number Added to Commission Statements
Funded by Spriska
For clients who assign Agency numbers, the pdf Commission Reports will now include this number above the Agent or Agency’s name. If an Agency number is not assigned in contacts, the pdf Commission Reports will not include this new field.
- To assign Agency numbers, go to Contacts > Individual Contact > Agency Number.
- To retrieve the pdf Commission Reports go to Reports > Agency > Retrieve Commission Reports and choose the appropriate data.

Updates to Item Ordering on the Declarations Page
On Declarations, Applications, and Quote Summaries the premium, limit, deductible, and supplemental questions for a given coverage would previously appear in an order inconsistent with the Builder screen. The order of this information has been updated so it follows the same flow in Builder. This change only affects the display order; the content of what is displayed has not changed.
Example: Currently, the order on the Declarations page follows - premium, supplemental questions, limit, and then deductible.
Now, the order on the Declarations page follows - limit, deductible, premium and then supplemental questions.

Enhanced Custom Deliverable Printing Options
Funded by Bremen
This enhancement adds additional flexibility to the existing setting Print with Initial/Renewal Declarations for Custom Deliverables. IWS has now split this one setting into two settings that allow users to choose which Declarations to include the Custom Deliverable with (Initial and/or Renewal).
For any Custom Deliverable that already has this setting selected, both new settings will be selected after this release and the functionality will remain the same (the Custom Deliverable will be printed with both the Initial and Renewal Declarations). To change these settings go to Settings > Deliverables > Custom Deliverables > edit Deliverable.
